Help is on the way
A new PC is promised for Monday. Work is suddenly coming my way, enough to get by anyway.. And my antidepressants seemed to have finally kicked in. And Barcelona Football Club is vanquishing its rivals like Godzilla charging through a happy hour free food table. LIfe is g—— well, okay.

Really. The work is finally starting to dribble in. But why is it that people with money are so fucking pennypinching stingy? Starving graduate students who call me for thesis prep or TOEFL or translations don’t blink at whatever I charge them. My PC is on life support. Pray for us all. Busily searching for a computer store that takes American Express, the only card I’ve got left that isn’t overloaded? Hope to be back in the land of the living soon. This sucks.

Yuck yuck. Reminds me of my conversation with the computer geek about my ailing PC last week. Him, sternly and disapproving: “Your version of Windows XP is NOT a genuine registered copy”. Me: “I know asshole, YOU sold it to me”.

Suggestions
My PC is fucked apparently. I need a new version of Windows and since the old one was, uh, less than legal, I need to buy a new version of Vista which will cost more than I can afford.
Freelance work is disappearing, as is my bank account.
I have the flu.
